Protected AI was created from a practical business problem: companies need AI to stay productive and competitive, but many internal tasks involve sensitive information that should not be copied into public tools without control. A challenge we faced ourselves.
Public AI tools deliver impressive performance, but they are not built for every internal workflow. Local AI keeps sensitive data under control, but it does not offer the same performance as the latest external AI releases. Dr. Jörg Heinze is the founder of Protected AI and combines experience in software development, digital business, artificial intelligence, data analysis, and cyber psychology.

Before founding his first startup, Jörg worked as a project manager and senior consultant in agile digital projects. His experience includes R&D projects with Germany’s Federal Ministry of Education and Research, financial product transformation, digital platform development, and software-based business models.
He taught Cyber Psychology, earned a PhD on technology adoption barriers, and gained experience across Silicon Valley, DAX 30 companies, and academia. This background shaped a clear understanding of why promising technologies often fail in practice: not because they lack potential, but because adoption, trust, usability, and operational integration are not solved properly.
Today, Jörg builds market-ready software with a strong focus on AI. Protected AI brings together this experience: technical implementation, business relevance, user adoption, and controlled AI infrastructure.
The idea behind Protected AI came from a real concern: AI is becoming essential for professional work, but sensitive data needs to stay under control. Companies need a reliable way to use AI without turning internal knowledge, customer data, or confidential workflows into uncontrolled inputs for public systems.

Protected AI is based in the Munich area and supports companies across different regions and industries.
Modern digital infrastructure allows us to implement AI environments independent of location. Many setup, configuration, support, and maintenance tasks can be handled remotely. When needed, infrastructure concepts can also be adapted to local servers, private hosting environments, or existing IT structures.
Our work is implementation-oriented, direct, and practical: we build AI environments that companies can actually use.
